First released on July 2012, it was the only social book marker for the Sony PSP. Using the OpenTube engine, it was hard to control the menu, due to technical limitations. Multiple spin-off versions have been released in the following months.
After the first release, the second release was ported to two different devices; iOS and PC through a Google Chrome extension. An official Android only release soon would follow, which got positive feedback.
On 2016, it was announced that Webtastic will be spun-off from MODOKA into it’s own division, and will solely focus on developing for smartphones. This division is dubbed Webtastic App Development, and will continue to develop related applications.
The logo has been inspired by colorful office tabs, and a speech bubble.
